A Few Things to Keep in Mind

How this tool works

Enter your average daily credit card balance, annual percentage rate (APR), and the number of days in your billing cycle.

The credit card interest calculator estimates your daily, weekly, billing-cycle, and annual interest. It also shows the daily periodic rate and the estimated interest rate for the selected billing cycle.

The calculator converts your APR into a daily periodic rate using a 365-day year. Daily interest is estimated from your average daily balance and daily periodic rate, while billing-cycle interest is based on the number of days you enter.

For example, a longer billing cycle can result in more estimated interest when the balance and APR remain the same.

Actual credit card interest may differ from these estimates. Card issuers may use different daily balance methods, compounding practices, grace periods, fees, promotional rates, changing APRs, and other account terms.
